It is published by Journalists Beyond Borders, an international media organisation, from New York, United States of America. Its publisher/editor-in-chief is Chukwuma Oraegbu, a Nigerian-born journalist, poet, author and novelist, who has over 20 years experience in print media. Mr. Oraegbu, who was educated in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, has a masters degree in politics from the University of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. He is a recipient of the British Chevening Scholarship for graduate study in the UK.

On the editorial board of Africareporters.com is Mr. Rick Cowan, the Manchester-based, British-born attorney, prolific writer, and sports enthusiast. Mr. Cowan, who has a masters degree in politics, is the website's editorial board chairman.

Mr. Austin Ezike, a graduate of English from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, is the website's Executive Editor. A wordsmith, prolific writer, author, playwright and poet, Mr. Ezike is a seasoned journalist.

Africareporters.com is established as an independent, populist, Africa-oriented newspaper, designed to present Africa to the world, with all its charm, difficulties and imperfections. It aims to galvanize local, national, continental and international opinion, ideas, strategies and efforts to help in tackling and offering answers to the many questions which dog the continent.
